Description and possibilities of use
eClever is a performant and simple XML Socket Multiuser Server, that enables to create multiuser applications, games for more players, chats etc. You can also create Web-CD applications and make use of all the advantages of multiuser surrounding. XML Socket Multiuser Server is a multiuser server that checks if a user has been connected and that ensures the communication between clients using a XML protocol and the PUSH technology. Server eClever contains both, socket and http server. The server supports the model of rooms for chatting and games. The rooms can either be visible for all users or hidden. The hidden rooms are used when playing multiuser games. The rooms can include variables that can either be hidden or visible. The client can either send messages to all clients in one room or they can send private messages to a certain client only. The administration of the server is ensured using a simple XML document.

Supported platforms
The server is written for Windows and it exists in two versions:
1. Basic version. It is a classical Win32 application that can be run in Win98, ME, 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista. This version is ideal for development and testing of applications on a local computer. Nothing has to be installed, it is just enough to run the exe file and you can start working.
2. Embed version. It is a classical Win32 application that can be run in Win98, ME, 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista. This version is a good solution to run the XML Multiuser Server - eClever from a CD, DVD or any portable devices such as flash memories. You can simply distribute the XML Multiuser Server - eClever together with your applications.
3. Profi version. The server is written as a service. This version is intended for demanding network applications. The server can be run on Win2000, XP, 2003 and Vista only.
