Yes, it can, but you have to use the version embed or basic. For the version profi it is not possible.

Can the XML Socket Multiuser Server - eClever be run from a CD-ROM?
Yes, but you have to use the version embed or basic. For the version profi it is not possible. Also, you have to set the attributes in the section logging to isLogging="False" and isLoggingMsg="False" so that the server does not create log files. If you want the server to create log files you have to, in the attribute logPath, set a path to the folder where you want them to be created.

Is the XML Socket Multiuser Server - eClever able to work with xls (Excel) files?
Yes, it is but you have to have installed the XTRA pluginXLS.ecs. This XTRA works autonomously and to be able to work with xls files you don´t even have to have installed Excel on your computer.

Can XML Socket Server - eClever be run in Windows Vista?
Yes, it works in Windows Vista. However, for the profi version you have to swith off UAC (User Account Control) before installation and then switch it on again.
