Encrypting of the configuration file eClever.config
In some cases one needs to hide the contents of eClever.config. To do so, it is
necessary to use the tool
eCleverGuard, that
serves to encrypt eClever.config. This is crucial, for example, in cases when eClever
including your applications must be distributed to other customers.
Steps to be taken when encrypting eClever.config are simple:
1. Run eCleverGuard.
2. Press the button “Load config”, the appropriate eClever.config will be loaded
from the disc.
3. Insert the required password to be used to encrypt eClever.config. The password
can include up to
16 characters.
4. Choose the path (Encrypt file path) where the encrypted file will be saved.
5. Press the button “Save config", two files, eClever.config and eClever.enc, will
be saved to the chosen directory.
6. Copy the files eClever.config and eClever.enc to the same directory where eClever
is located and you can start working.
The encrypted config files can only be used in
the paid version of the product eClever.
